Canal Zone is a division of Washington State Horsemen. It covers the area from the Tacoma Narrows Bridge north to the end of the peninsula. Olympic Zone is across the Hood Canal Bridge.

WSH has an extensive Year End Award System divided up into horse shows, games, trails, pleasure and working horse. Within those divisions is something for everyone.

WSH also promotes a Youth Merit program and the youth do not even have to own a horse. Merit awards depend on the level of achievement.
